BAHAMAS: Aggreko Fire Statement
#Nassau, September 13, 2019 – Bahamas – Bahamas Power and Light Company Ltd. (BPL) can confirm that there appears to have been a fire that reportedly damaged a 1-megawatt rental generator owned and operated by Aggreko at BPL’s Blue Hills Power Station on Wednesday.
BPL will be advised by Aggreko once the fire investigation at their site is completed with the assistance of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Fire Department. It is not anticipated that the loss of this rental unit will significantly impact the need for load shedding.
