#Providenciales, August 17, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – At 12:03 a.m., Friday, August 16th, 2019, Officers responded to report of a robbery, following calls to 911 that an injured man needed assistance off the South Dock Road.

According to the complainant, while driving his red Toyota Caldina Car, he assisted an unknown man with ride in the area of Bight. The victim said he was later shot and taken along the South Dock Road and robbed of his red car, and wallet that contained identification cards. The victim was transported to Hospital by EMT’s for treatment.

Officers are investigating a second incident where a woman was robbed at gunpoint on Bible Street. According to reports, sometime after 2:00 a.m., after exiting the vehicle, the woman was approached by two masked men who demanded money. The gunmen made good of their escaped with a silver Toyota Mark X vehicle, containing a cellular phone, passport and other identification cards. There were no shots fired or injuries reported in this incident.
