TCI Police Crime Update

#Providenciales, August 22, 2019 – Turks and Caicos –

Police on Providenciales were called to the scene along Pete Court, Kew Town on Wednesday August 21st, 2019 around 10:23 p.m., following reports of a shooting.

According to reports, an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old female were walking along the said area when occupant(s) in a dark colored vehicle pulled up not too far and fired shots towards the complainants.

The male victim who sustained a number of gunshot wounds, was transported to Hospital by private vehicle and is currently listed as stable.

The female was unharmed. This investigation is active.

Aggravated Burglary under investigation

Officers of the Criminal Investigations Unit are investigating an Aggravated Burglary that took place on Wednesday August 21st, 2019 around 8:00 p.m., at a home on Bird Street, Long Bay Providenciales.

Two masked armed men, entered through a sliding door and demanded money from the three occupants.  The assailants were described as a young, slim built short man, and a much older man wearing red short pants.

The men made good of their escape with two bank cards.
