Rotary Club of Providenciales inducts new Executive Board for 2019-2020

#Providenciales, July 10, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – During the months of June and July 2019, Rotary clubs around the world are undertaking the Changeover of office bearers to those newly elected for the 2019-2020 Rotary year. The new Rotary International President Mark Daniel Maloney, explained his vision for building a stronger Rotary, calling on leaders worldwide to expand connections to their communities and to embrace innovative membership models.

RI President Maloney, unveiled the 2019-20 presidential theme, “Rotary Connects the World”, to incoming district governors at Rotary’s annual training event, the International Assembly, in San Diego, California, USA, on Monday July 1st, 2019.

On Saturday June 29, 2019, the Rotary Club of Providenciales at the Provo Golf Club, inducted a new executive board for 2019-2020. President Kymmi Stubbs passed the presidential chain of office to incoming President Alvin Parker and wished him and his Board every success for the forthcoming Rotary year.

The newly elected executive board members are: Alvin Parker – President, Kyle Knowles – President Elect, Ralph Patrick – VP, Melanie Smith – Secretary, Shireen Gardiner – Treasurer, Dadre Seymour – Projects Director, Candianne Williams – Club Services Director, Anansa Jervis – PR Director, Roma Stubbs – New Generations Director, Kymmi Stubbs – Immediate Past President and Foundation Chair.

Alvin Parker in his inaugural speech stated, “I am grateful to be elected as the president of this prestigious club. I wish to thank the immediate Past President Kymmi Stubbs for her stewardship over the last 12 months. I have been a member of the Rotary Club of Providenciales for seven years and I intend to give this year my all. I intend to restore and diversify membership, as well as reestablish Rotary to the glory days.

Thank you to my incoming Board for their willingness to serve and I do look forward to your dedication, commitment and support. The theme for this year is “Rotary Connects the world”. As Rotarians, we intend to give our talent, our knowledge, our abilities, our efforts, our dedication and our devotion and through this, connectivity will fall into place. Through Rotary, we can take these gifts and make a genuine difference in the lives of others and throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands.

I anticipate serving the Rotary Club of Providenciales for the next year and I encourage my board and fellow Rotarians to let us always put “Service above Self”, let us fulfill our District’s theme of Serve Humanity Secure Our Future”and let us connect the world through dedication and selflessness always.”
