#Nassau, July 18, 2019 – Bahamas – Five adult graduates made history as they became the first to receive certifications from the National Training Agency (NTA) since its approval as an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) City & Guilds Centre.
Tonya Rolle, Fredericka Bowe, Ian Rolle, Demetrius Todd and
Brendalee Knowles received special pins and certificates in leadership and team
skills level II during a graduation ceremony, Monday, July 15, 2019.
Gadville McDonald, Executive Director, NTA; Ricardo Deveaux, Deputy Permanent Secretary; Senator Jennifer Isaacs-Dotson, Consultant; Carolyn Bethel, Registration Manager and Anthia Williams, Tutor/Assessor were among those present at the event. Ms. Rolle was selected as the Most Outstanding Student and received an award.
Mr. McDonald said the ceremony signaled a “major” accomplishment
for the graduates and for the NTA as it is the only government-approved ILM
centre in this region.
Congratulating the participants he said, “We believe that as you
leave here tonight you will demonstrate the level of leadership that we know
your industry requires and our country is calling for.”
City & Guilds is a leader in skills development that works
with governments, businesses and education centers to help people,
organizations and economies build their skills for productivity and growth
through work-based learning.
The NTA is presently registering for the next ILM cohort, which begins in September.
