TCI: World’s Largest Swimming Lesson

#Providenciales, June 24, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – Making a Global Impression on Thursday, 20 June 2019, adults and children from the local learn-to-swim organisation, Swim and Surf TCI, gathered on Grace Bay beach to participate in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ (WLSL). 

Turks and Caicos Islands, once again, is proud to be included on the official website for this amazing event. The lesson was a huge success for swimming in TCI thanks to everyone who participated on the day.

Tens of thousands of kids and adults gathered at aquatic facilities around the world, united for the tenth year in a row to make noise that Swimming Lessons Save Lives.™ A global event, The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ (WLSL), celebrated its 10th anniversary with events taking place over the course of 24 hours at an estimated 600 locations in more than 20 countries.

Since its inception, more than 278,000 children and adults have participated in WLSL lessons generating a BILLION media impressions about the vital importance of learning to swim. The 2018 WLSL event included 41,814 participants from 27 countries including Turks and Caicos Islands.
