TCI Police Crime Update
#Providenciales, June 3, 2019 – Turks and Caicos –
DANGEROUS DRUGS RECOVERED- SUSPECT CHARGED AND ARRESTED
According to reports, on Friday May 31st, 2019 officers executed a search warrant on a home located in the Bight Providenciales. Upon searching the premises 4.6 grams of suspected cocaine and 1.5 grams of suspected cannabis were found in a khaki pant.
A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of Controlled Drugs and Obstruction. During the search a number of items were seized and processed for investigation purposes.
The 27-year-old is expected to answer to the said charges this week.
TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR MAY 19TH AGGRAVATED BURGLARY
On Friday May 31st, 2019, Officers from the Serious Crime Unit arrests two men, a 26-year-old and a 27-year-old on suspicion of Aggravated burglary in relation to a report made on Sunday May 19th, 2019.
According to reports, on the May 19th incident, two men armed with weapons burgled a home in Providenciales. Both men are still in Police Custody.
Investigations are ongoing in this matter.
