TCI: ‘Before’ and ‘After’ correction
#Providenciales, June 4, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – CORRECTION: The images of potholes in the Leeward area shared yesterday in our social media newspaper are not the same and we apologize for the error.
We retract that captions of a ‘Before’ and ‘After’ set of photographs as residents of the area confirm they are two different spots along the same roadway.
While government did share the photo of roadworks in the Leeward area and informed of work ongoing at the Five Cays access over the weekend, the ‘Before’ was not a TCIG project.
The ‘Before’ photo actually depicts ‘true’ conditions behind the Leeward gates; the area is a private residential community which is outside of the remit of Public Works Department.
