#Chicago, IL, May 24, 2019 – USA – The Tourism delegation from the Turks and Caicos Islands took a sunny message to Chicago and everyone in every event seemed genuinely impressed with the representation, the information, the gifts and the venues selected by #TeamTCI.

From a breakfast meeting held at Travel 100 Group with vivacious video presentations and practical pitches about destination TCI, to a soiree welcoming leading media and social media influencers at the Chicago Botanic Gardens; the four events hosted by the TCI Tourist Board and the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association were designed to send a message of luxury.

Ramon Andrews, Director of the TCI Tourist Board remarked on the prestige of the functions.

“We definitely have to be top notch and very classy; it is an introduction of what is to come in Turks and Caicos.  We pride ourselves as being a very relaxed destination but at the same time we know that we have a very high-end brand and we have to maintain those standards. So, when we go into the marketplace people expect us to be doing things at a top-notch level.”

A sumptuous dinner was served to a room of 50 Travel Agents at the banquet hall of the Chicago Botanic Gardens and as a finale, city-based travel professionals were whisked away from Navy Pier on the luxury yacht, the Odyssey.

President of the TCHTA and developer, Todd Foss was beaming.

“You know, I am the rookie and I am learning a lot here this trip and so I think the events are amazing.  What I have noticed is two things, when we have a first-class destination, we have to show these people that we are first class.  Our team from all of the hotels and the companies which are here on the road show, are first class people.”  Foss continued, “I have just been watching them and seeing how they interact and they are proud of Turks and Caicos, every single one of them. So it is super easy to sell.”

At least 24 properties and companies were directly represented, including American Airlines, Beaches Resort Villages & Spa, Grace Bay Resorts which includes newly acquired Point Grace and soon-to-come Rock House, the Turks and Caicos Collection, Wymara, the Lodgings, Windsong, Villa Renaissance, Bianca Sands, Sail Rock in South Caicos, Ocean Clubs, The Source Villas, the Inn at Grace Bay, Grace Bay Car Rentals, the Hartling Group resorts including The Sands, Shore Club and Parrot Cay.
