#Nassau, May 31, 2019 – Bahamas – The Bahamas Association for the
Physically Disabled (BAPD) recently donated a wheelchair to the Bahamas
Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI), helping the institution further
comply with the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities) bill.
The wheelchair will aid in transporting
staff, faculty and students who need medical attention to the institution’s
clinic rather than having personnel lift them. It will also assist students whose
wheelchairs malfunction.
The wheelchair was sponsored by the Rotary Club of East Nassau, Rotary District 6960 and the Wheelchair Foundation.
