TCI: POLICE INVESTIGATE LATEST MURDER
#Providenciales, April 8, 2019 – Turks and Caicos -A murder investigation is underway into the death of a 19-year-old man who was shot near a corner store in Kew Town, Monday April 8th, 2019.
911 Central reported that around 12:23 a.m. they received a call of shots fired in the said area.
The man has been named as Obed Dupree of Kewtown. He received two gunshot wounds and was transported to Hospital via a private car where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Commissioner of Police, James Smith said, “This is an active investigation, anyone with any information, I would ask that you please contact in confidence at Crimestoppers on 1-800-8477 or call 911. No matter how small your information is- it may help us in getting these criminals behind bars. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mr. Dupree at this time”.
