#Providenciales, April 12, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – Concise but clear comments came from the Minister of Education, Hon Karen Malcolm today as she weighed in on the report given by Hon Royal Robinson when he, on social media, criticized the Premier’s Cabinet shuffle of last week.

We asked Minister Malcolm if indeed she had threatened Premier Sharlene Robinson in order to keep her ministerial post.

The appointed member of the PNP to the House of Assembly said in his social media video that, “One would look at the Minister for Education and some would say she was going to be on the chopping block, but my understanding is that she and her people read the riot act to the Premier and in so doing the Premier backed down and so she continues to perform as the Minister of Education.”

But Minister Malcolm is rejecting the report and resorting to an age-old method, she said, to deal with the matter.

“Just confirming that the former PNP Chairman’s claims are not true.  Whoever has provided him with such information has totally mislead him.  I will continue to keep him in my prayers.”
