#Providenciales, April 8, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – A trio of accomplishments for Denard Mighty this weekend is hoped to bring the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the community of Kew Town in a fresh, new way and in a brand-new church.
Mr. Mighty on Friday
evening graduated from the Turks and Caicos campus of the Caribbean School of Theology
(CST) with an Associate of Arts degree in Theology and today, was ordained a
minister of the Gospel and he was certified as the Pastor of Life Center Church
by General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Rev. Dr. Patrick Paul.
Since the death of Rev.
Dr. Conrad Howell, there has been no English-speaking Christian Church in the
Kew Town area of Providenciales; with the support of the Assemblies of God –
Bahamas & Turks and Caicos Islands, that has changed.
Life Centre Church was
launched officially, in a service held at Community Fellowship Centre Church
(AG) on Sunday and the ministry will be headed by a familiar face; likely best
known as a manager at BML Do it Center.
Denard Mighty is
originally from Jamaica and he and his family were congratulated for their
choice to advance the Kingdom of God in Kew Town.
Remarks were brought by
the President of the Turks and Caicos Christian, Bishop Bryant Cox and other
church pastors including Rev’ds Wilbert and Christine Jennings and Pastor
Simms.
Minister of Education, Hon
Karen Malcolm also attended the service this afternoon; the minister is a
former co-worker of Pastor Mighty.
A message challenging the
new pastor and his wife, Lady Nikeisha Mighty, to exercise discipline through
prayer and fasting as they keep their hearts conditioned for the harvest ahead…
a sobering word on the beauty of ‘forgiveness’ and the benefits of ‘redemption’
because of Christ Jesus came from Rev. Dr. Paul, who is in country from Nassau,
Bahamas for the church launch.
Many, many prayers for a
triumphant experience and unwavering endurance were prayed for the Mighty Family
and Life Centre Church.
Ordained for Gospel
Ministry today were also: Hopeful
Campbell and Franklin Norton; both Community Fellowship Centre members were
also 2019 Graduates on Friday evening from CST; earning their Associates
degrees in theology.
Other graduates were: Andrea Grant, Lucille Jones and Rev. Bradley
Handfield, Senior Pastor of Community Fellowship Centre and General Presbyter
for AG for The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands, who due to previous
studies will matriculate to the Master’s Degree programme in theology at CST.
Life Centre Church is located at Norway Road, Kew Town at the former Sure Foundation Ministries building.
