#Providenciales, April 25, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – The Turks & Caicos Tourist Board hosted its 27th Annual Kite Flying
Competition in Providenciales on April 22, 2019 at The Bight Park. The event
was well attended and received tremendous support from residents and tourists
who enjoyed Easter egg hunts, domino tournament, entertainment by Prime DJs and
live music by Provision.
Director of Tourism Ramon Andrews commented, “This year’s Kite Flying
Competition was a major comeback for the annual event. The public can
anticipate this signature event as we are eager to do our part to keep the
tradition of kite building alive in the Turks & Caicos Islands. We would
like to extend our profound thanks to our partners and sponsors who assisted us
in making the event enjoyable and memorable for all – Provo Sailing Academy,
Clement Howell High School Tourism Club, Department of Culture, TCI Dolls, The
Sands at Grace Bay, IGA and Turks Head Brewery”.
