TCI: Jewelery repair shop robbed

#Providenciales, March 24, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – Officers of the Criminal Investigations Department responded to a robbery at a Jewelry Repair Shop on the Leeward Highway, Thursday March 21st, 2019 at 4:24 p.m. According to 911 central, two men entered the establishment wearing masks and gloves, one armed with a gun. 

The culprits stole a variety of jewelry, the customer present was robbed of identification cards, a bank card, an undisclosed amount of cash, a cheque and a cell phone (value unknown), and the staff member was robbed of a white I phone 7+ valued ($500.00). There were no injuries reported.

The men left the scene in a white small car with black stripes. 

The suspected vehicle was later located and abandoned in the Kew Town area. The vehicle was taken for processing by the Forensic Unit.

Meanwhile, one male is currently in police custody in connection to this robbery.
