#Providenciales, March 4, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – It is National Education Week and the plans are ripe and rich as education on all levels will be celebrated in grand style across the archipelago.
Ecumenical Services were held in four islands today; in
Whitby North Caicos, Providence Baptist Church hosted educators, students and
officials; in South Caicos, service was held at New Testament Church of God; in
Providenciales, the gathering was at the Leeward Methodist Church and in Grand
Turk, Education Week launched at the New Testament Church of God.
Today, HJ Robinson High will hold a session on Cyber Bullying while Eliza Simons Primary – also in Grand Turk – will welcome residents at an Open House.
Mary Robinson Primary in Salt Cay will on Monday hold
devotions; Doris Robinson Primary in Middle Caicos has an inter-house quiz
planned while North Caicos primary schools: Charles Hubert James will have an
inter-teacher exchange and Adelaide Omeler will have an education parade.
Also happening today, Raymond Gardiner High School of North Caicos will hold vocational day.
In Providenciales: Enid Capron will have special
devotions; Ianthe Pratt will host its Spirit Awards; Oseta Jolly will have
devotions led by male students; a special assembly for stakeholders and
students is planned at Long Bay High school and Clement Howell High’s special
devotions will be led by the PTA and school prefects.
The theme for Education Week 2019 is Quality Education for Life-long Learners.
