TCI: Dominican Poachers caught by Marine Police
#Providenciales, March 7, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – At 10:30 a.m., Wednesday March 6th 2019, officers of the Marine Branch Sea Guardian intercepted a white ‘panga’ type fishing vessel carrying 300lbs of conch meat and 20lbs of rock fish. According to reports, the vessel was fishing in the vicinity of Swimmer Rock on the Caicos Southern banks.
Four Dominicans were arrested and taken into custody. The vessel was taken to the Marine Base with no incident or major issues.
