TCI: Rotary president says there is something for 14 to 18 year-old youth

#Providenciales, February 24, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – Turks and Caicos Rotary Club President, Kym Stubbs was moved by a comment by a Five Cays man that the young people need a positive push… Stubbs says there is so much happening to support healthy youth development including membership of their youth branch, Interact.

“There is an entire organization for kids ages 14-18 and sad to say, but a lot of parents are not encouraging their children to participate.  It is sponsored by the Rotary Club extended through the Edward Gartland Youth Centre.  It really is not true that organisations are not trying to engage young people.”

There are four key pillars of the Interact Club and are cited as the benefits of the youth group.  Young people ages 14-18 can connect with leaders in the community and around the world, these connections support taking action to make a difference in your school and community. 

Stubbs explained that, “Interact allows youngsters to discover new cultures, promote international understanding, become a leader themselves and have fun as you make new friends.”
