#Providenciales, February 28, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – The Department of Statistics will be conducting a partial update of its Household Register from February 28th to March 31st, 2019. The Household Register provides a count of all households in the Turks and Caicos Islands. This is the first time since the 2012 Census that an update of the Household Register will be conducted. Trained enumerators will visit each building in selected enumeration districts to determine if they are occupied households, institutions or business establishments.

The listing exercise is of national importance as it will assist the government with policy development and decision making which will impact residents of the country. For this reason the department is asking the general public for its cooperation in this exercise. The conduction of this listing exercise will be in compliance with Section 12 of the Statistics Ordinance 2011. Your supplied information remains confidential to this office and will be used for statistical purposes only.
