TCI: Sloop Intercepted by Marine Branch

#Providenciales, January 8, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – Following detection by the Coastal Radar System, an Illegal vessel containing 53 illegal Haitian migrants was successfully intercepted on Sunday, January 6th, 2018 around 8:30 p.m. by the Marine Branch Unit.

The Marine Branch M/V Sea Pursuit towed in the 34 ft illegal vessel with 46 males, 6 females and 1 child onboard.

The detainees were transported to the South Dock Port and handed over to Task Force members who escorted them to the Detention Centre for processing and repatriation.
