TCI: RTCIPF makes arrests and charges

#Providenciales, December 21, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – On Tuesday, December 18th, 2018 a Police Constable on Providenciales was charged for the offences of Taking Conveyance without Authority and Corruption in relation to a report made on September 5th, 2018. The officer is currently on US$3,000 bail and scheduled for court on January 7th, 2019. He is currently on suspension.

On Tuesday, December 18th, 2018, a 54-year-old man was charged for the offence of Burglary in relation to a report made on November 25th, 2018. The man is scheduled to appear in court today, Friday, December 21, 2018.

An 18-year-old man was on Wednesday, December 19th 2018 charged with two counts of Burglary in relation to two reports that were made between December 4th and 5th 2018. He is scheduled to attend court the week of December 24th, 2018.

On Thursday, December 20th, 2018, a Police Constable on Grand Turk was arrested on suspicion of Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. The officer was given police bail in the sum of US$10,000.  He was placed on administrative leave.
