TCI: Civil Service Mourns the Loss of Colleague Tisa Joy Lightbourne
#Providenciales, December 10, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – The Turks and Caicos Islands Civil Service mourns the loss our dear colleague and friend Tisa Joy Lightbourne.
Joy as most persons affectionately knew her, joined the civil service officially on 1st January 2000 as a Data Entry Clerk within the Department of Economics Planning and Statistics, she was upgraded to the post of Mapping Technician on 1st April 2003.
A post she held for nine years in the Ministry of Finance, before being promoted in December 2012 to the role of 
During her eighteen years of service she had the opportunity to work with a number of departments and persons including numerous elected officials in the House of Assembly. She participated in a number of training programs during her years with the Statistical Department and had the opportunity to travel representing the country and assisting the Premier on countless occasions.
Persons in the various departments that she engaged with can attest that Joy was an ardent and devoted worker. She was very caring, professional and always willing to assist in whatever way that she could. Her passing will be a major loss to the service and we will miss her hard work and dedication, but most especially her infectious smile and zeal for life.
We extend our deepest sympathies to her entire family at this time, most especially her daughter Kendrea Wilson, her parents Eric and Jean Lightbourne, her siblings and love ones, including the Director of the Deputy Governor’s Office, Mr. Tito Lightbourne and pray that God will grant them strength at this difficult time and will comfort them in the days and year ahead.
