Flow TCI celebrates 10 Year Partnership with TCTB

#Providenciales, November 19, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – The 2018 Turks and Caicos Islands Tourist Board Youth Congress Speech Competition, sponsored by telecommunications giant, Flow TCI, is one of the largest inter high school speech competitions held in recognition of Tourism Awareness Month, consistently drawing a high profile attendance and significant media interest.

“We pride ourselves in being not just the #1 entertainment and communications provider but also the #1 sponsor of education and youth in the TCI, and our support towards events as such that brings together the brightest young minds to present their ideas on how we can catalyse this industry reaffirms our commitment to innovation and advancement,” said, Flow Country Manager, Mrs Delleriece Hall.

This year’s theme, “Adventure Tourism: Culture and National Discovery through physically active and exciting activities” elicited riveting presentations from a total of seven contenders representing seven private and public secondary schools from around the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Flow Turks and Caicos, represented today by Country Manager, Mrs Delleriece Hall; Marketing Communications Executive, Mr Darron Hilaire and Business Support Officer, Ms Anissa Bootle, are proud to have been the premier sponsors for this event now for over 10 years.

Bringing remarks at today’s proceedings, Hilaire, Marketing Communications Executive, and former Junior Minister of Tourism remarked, “We as a company believe in the potential of this event that acts as an incubator and a catalyst in producing the next layer of leadership that will attend to the need and demands of this industry, our society, and by extension the world.”

Danae Dennie, 14 years old, fourth form student, from the Helena Jones Robinson High School, today captured the coveted title of Junior Minister of Tourism 2018-19. Following closely, shy of one point, Shakiem Outten, the only male contender in the competition came in at 2nd place, representing Marantha Academy, and in third position, representing the Clement Howell High School, Aliyah Elliot.
