#Providenciales, November 9, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – Around 9 a.m. this morning, a vehicle fire was extinguished this morning at Providenciales International Airport, but not before causing a bit of a panic.
A passenger reported seeing the fire on the western end of the airport; it was initially thought to be a building fire.
Magnetic Media has learned that a tug truck – the vehicle which hauls aircraft to its station on the tarmac – somehow caught fire. Video was shared of the fire being put out by the on site fire crew.
Airport operations, we understand, were not interrupted.
