Turks and Caicos another step closer to being newest UWI Open Campus site
#Providenciales, October 30, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – The enrollees of the Turks and Caicos will add to the current 19,000 Caribbean students gaining tertiary level education through the Open Campus concept of the 
This month, the plan to establish an open campus in the Turks and Caicos was further strengthened when the Education Minister, Hon Karen Malcolm signed – symbolically – with UWI lecturer, Professor Dencil Williams a Memorandum of Understanding.
The MOU was signed at the newly launched: JAGS McCartney Lecture Series in honour of the country’s national hero; the event was held at the Shore Club on October 16.
Turks and Caicos Islands Government and UWI explained: “This MOU will facilitate the opening of the UWI Open Campus in Providenciales and will allow for far-reaching benefits to students of the Turks and Caicos Islands.”
