TCI: Police Investigate Recent Robberies

#Providenciales, October 26, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – The Criminal Investigation Department of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force on the Island of Providenciales is investigating two robberies that occurred on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018.

According to reports, at 9:06 p.m., a 31-year-old female on Analee Avenue in Blue Hills was approached by armed men who demanded money.  According to the victim, the culprits stole her cell phone, car keys and drove off in her white Toyota Brezis car.  There are no reports of shots fired or injuries.

In a second incident, a restaurant on the Airport Road was robbed.  According to 911 central at 9:29, three men armed with guns entered the establishment and demanded money. The bandits got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and a gold chain, before speeding off in a white Toyota car. There are no reports of shots fired or injuries.

The white Toyata car was discovered Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 on a Millennium highway dirt road. The vehicle was processed by the Forensic Support Unit.
