#Providenciales, October 29, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – Operation Guardian – a Police and Border Control Ministry joint effort – may not be making headlines as much as it used to do but the initiative is still very much alive according to a report from the recently held National Security Council meeting.

Less travel visas to the Turks and Caicos and a clampdown on malpractice within the Ministry of Border Control on how those visas were being given has resulted in a sharp decline in visitors from specific countries; among them Haiti.

The update came from Border Control and Employment Minister, Deputy Premier Sean Astwood who also shared in that although citizens already have a Belonger Status Card, there is serious work being done to introduce yet another national ID.
