Bruised-face Hanover man pleads guilty on two counts, gun possession hearing to come

#Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Monday October 1, 2018 – A recent arrest is the third Jamaican within recent months to find himself in serious trouble, criminally in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Police are still hunting Dale Cooke who escaped prison guard custody at the time of his court appearance and Constantine Roberts, who did not show back up to court on day two of his trial.   

The latest of the arrests is 37 year old Junior Lenroy Swaby of Hanover, Jamaica in Dock Yard, Providenciales on September 22.  Swaby was charged with using a black Ekol Dielo pistol to cause fear, to resist arrest, for carrying the gun without a license and possession of illicit drugs.

Junior Swaby has already entered a guilty plea for thee unlawful entry and marijuana possession charges and will be sentenced this coming Wednesday in Magistrate’s court.

Swaby will also appear at the Supreme Court level in November for the gun related offenses, where there will be a sufficiency hearing.
