In keeping with the United Nations Declaration on International Youth Day observance, the Turks and Caicos Islands Department of Youth Affairs will be celebrating National Youth Day under the theme “Empowering the Youth, One Island at a Time no Child left Behind”.This year’s theme follows from previous initiatives in relation to promoting young people’s ideas and strengthening their decision making skills. It also encourages voluntary service by our youth within the community to further enhance their development, direct their passions for good, while guiding them to believe that their voice matters without judging or criticizing their ideas, giving them a chance to fail while teaching them to learn to succeed.
