#Providenciales, September 25, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – Conditions on South Dock road were again blamed for a serious traffic accident last Thursday September 20, 2018 which could have been far worse for a young woman.

Monice Sweeting-Eugene was airlifted mere hours after she was ejected from her vehicle into bushes and after a life saving surgery at the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre in Providenciales.  The SUV she was driving appeared to have flipped over several times before coming to a stop on its side.  It was another harrowing scene on a strip of roadway which is infamous for a string of deadly collisions.

Family and friends of the driver, Monice Sweeting-Eugene, a Turks and Caicos Islander originally from Grand Bahama, are grateful today for her survival.  Mrs. Eugene is currently employed at Beaches Resort and is well known due to her customer service positions at WIV and PTV, television and cable service providers.

A report of an attempt to avoid hitting another driver and loose gravel upending her vehicle were sharedby those close to the family as potential reasons for the accident.

Monice was airlifted to The Bahamas and is at Doctor’s Hospital in Nassau where she is thankfully on the road to recovery.
