TCI: Police Investigate Tuesday Robberies

Providenciales, August 30, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – Providenciales Police are investigating three robberies that took place on Tuesday, August 28th, 2018.

In the first incident around 9:00 p.m., three gunmen approached a female taking her black Honda car in the Five Cays area.  The masked men made good of their escape also with a cellphone and other personal items that were left inside of the car.  The woman was not injured.  The vehicle was later discovered damaged near a bank on the Leeward Highway.

In the second incident according to 911 Central, at 9:30p.m., three masked gunmen entered a supermarket on Cooper Jack Bay Road and demanded money.  The offenders escaped in a black car.  There were no reports of injuries.

Provo Police are also investigating a third robbery.  In this incident, a man was robbed of his green Nissan car after offering a ride to four males at the corner of Bible Street Blue Hills.  The armed men also got away with a wallet that included identification and bank cards, a black iPhone 7 and cash. This incident was reported to Central at 8:45 p.m.
