#Jamaica, July 31, 2018 – One Love… One Family is the theme for the 56th anniversary of Independence of Jamaica; which is the largest country in the English-speaking Caribbean. Official, national events begin from August 1st in Jamaica and include the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen competition, World Reggae Dance Championship; Jamaica Gospel Song competition and the Grand Gala at the National Stadium on actual Independence Day on August 6. The Minister of Culture for Jamaica, Olivia Grange said during the celebration announcement press conference held in early July that, “We will celebrate our music and other aspects of our culture, while we enjoy the indigenous foods. This will be a feast of creativity, and I am encouraging everyone to take out the family and enjoy the sumptuous meals that will be on display.”
