TCI: Vanessa Rolle appointed as Senior Finance Officer

#Providenciales, June 29, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – The Office of the Deputy Governor is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Vanessa Rolle as the new Senior Finance Officer within the Accountant Generals Department.

Ms. Rolle who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Barry University in Miami, Florida, joined the Turks and Caicos Islands civil service as a Tax Officer in the Revenue Department in November 2014 and following on from cross training in the Budget Department in July 2015, later took up the post of Budget Analyst in that department in December 2015.

Ms. Rolle has during her tenure in TCIG, attended various training programs, including, but not limited to:

• CARTAC Medium Term Fiscal Strategy and Budget Training (Trinidad)
• International Consortium on Governmental Financial Management Training
•          Internal Audit Training

She is currently pursuing an ACCA and Global MBA in Financial Management from London School of Business & Finance Online, which is being partially funded through the Civil Service Professional Development Fund.

As a Senior Finance Officer within the Accountant Generals Department, Ms. Rolle will work very closely with the Accounting Officer of her assigned Ministry to ensure that the departments that fall within adhere to the various financial procedures and that budgets are managed and executed in accordance with the Public Financial Management  Ordinance and Regulations.

Ms. Rolle in expressing her gratitude said; “I am indeed grateful for the opportunity presented to me to serve within the Ministry of Finance, Trade and Investment and am proud to be a part of a financial team that plays such an important role in Government. Finance is my passion and I intend to utilize all the skills and experience gained to make an impact within the Ministry while also gaining new professional skills and experiences.”

Deputy Governor Anya Williams in congratulations of Ms. Rolle said; “We are pleased to see the existing trend of upward mobility within the Turks and Caicos Islands Civil Service and I am proud to congratulate Vanessa on her new role.  During her short tenure in government she has demonstrated her strong will and desire to excel, having in the last three years taken on three different roles in her quest for upward mobility.  I congratulate her on her recent promotion and look forward to even greater prospects from her in the years ahead.”
