TCI: Haitian Sloop Intercepted

#Providenciales, June 18, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – At 3:30 a.m., Sunday, June 17th, 2018, a Haitian sloop was intercepted by the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force Marine Branch.

The 35ft blue and grey sloop had a total of 89 Haitian nationals onboard.   The 71 males and 18 females were apprehended and taken to the Detention Centre for processing by Police and Immigration Officials.

Anyone with information on this or any illegal boat landing are asked to contact 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1- 800-8477.
