Marvin Dames joined Acting Commissioner of the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) Emrick Seymour, Senior Officers, RBPF facilitators, sponsors, stakeholders and participants, on June 25, 2018, at the Official Opening of the RBPF 25th Annual Summer Youth Programme, held at the Zion Baptist Church, on East and Shirley Streets.

A number of private sponsors also received plaques at the event, as a show of gratitude.  This year’s theme is “Igniting the Dreams of our Children’s Future”, and there are about 16 camps throughout The Bahamas, with eight on New Providence.  At least 2,000 campers are set to participate in the six-week programme that has the following mission statement: “To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens, through the medium of academics, music and sports”.
