TCIG Continuing Its Educational Sessions On The Tobacco Control Ordinance
#TurksandCaicos, May 04, 2018 – Providenciales – The Department of Mental Health and Substance Dependence within the Ministry of Health Agriculture, Sports and Human Services wishes to inform the general public that it will be continuing its educational sessions on the Tobacco Control Ordinance on the following islands:
North and Middle Caicos – May 10thth 10:00 am, Department of Mental Health and Substance Dependence Office/Youth Activity Centre, Kew North Caicos (opposite Hubert James Primary School).
South Caicos – May 17th 11:30 am, Department of Mental Health and Substance Dependence Office, Basden Hill, South Caicos (The office location is shared with the Immigration Department).
Owners of Restaurants, Bars, Hotels and anyone involved in the sale of tobacco products are urged to attend this important meeting.
As a means of continuing to protect public health, there will be increased enforcement in this area. Therefore, it is imperative for the public to equip themselves with information so that they are not found in conflict with the law.
