MAN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH FIREARM OFFENCE

On Friday, May 4th  2018, a 22-year-old male was arrested and charged with firearm offences, following a report made to Police on March 16th, 2018. The man was charged with three counts of Possession of Firearm with intent to endanger, Possession of Unlicensed Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and three counts of Possession of Ammunition with Intent to Enable Endangerment of Life. The man is currently in police custody.

MAN FACES ASSAULT CHARGE

A 34-year-old male was charged Monday, May 7th  2018 with Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm in relation to a report made on March 8th, 2018. The man was released on US$3500 bail and scheduled to appear in court on Monday, May 14th 2018 to answer to this charge.

YOUNGSTERS ACCUSED OF THEFT

A man reported to the Providenciales Police that on May 4th 2018, he gave three young men a ride into Kew Town and upon making a traffic stop in the said area, the youngsters stole his cell phone and money.

According to Police investigations, the cell phone valued US$300 and a wallet containing US$50, was located near the car armrest when it was stolen. The man who quickly drove away were chased with stones by the culprits.

KEW TOWN BAR ROBBED 

The Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the men who robbed a bar of money and cellphones.  The incident was reported to the 911 Center, at 11:11 p.m., on Friday, May 4th  2018, that two masked men robbed a Kew Town Bar.

According to reports, the gunmen entered the bar and demanded cell phones and money. The men made an escape with three cell phones value unknown and US$1100 cash in a silver Nissan March, but later exited the vehicle and fled the scene by foot.

NHIB IN GRAND TURK BURGLED 

Grand Turk Police are investigating the Burglary of the NHIB Office on Hospital Road on Saturday, May 5th, 2018.  Missing are one small white Refrigerator valued US$300, a 42” Black LG Smart Television and one Black GE Microwave, value unknown.

MIDDLE CAICOS BAR/RESTAURANT BURGLED

Police on Middle Caicos are investigating a burglary that was reported. According to Police there, the restaurant and bar owner secured the premises on April 29th 2018 and upon opening on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 she noticed a water pump and pressure tank missing.

The value is unknown at this time.

GRAND TURK HOME BURGLED

Investigations are ongoing into a Close Hall Road Home Burglary in Grand Turk. The incident was reported to police on Monday, May 7th 2018. According to Police reports, the homeowner secured his home at 11:15 p.m., on Sunday, May 6th 2018 but was awakened to a male inside. The man who escaped via foot stole a pack of cigarettes, US$50.00 and a power drill valued US$100.00.

SHIPPING COMPANY BROKEN INTO 

Police in Providenciales is investigating the Burglary of a shipping company on the Leeward Highway. The incident was reported to the 911 Centre on Monday, May 7th 2018 at 7:28 a.m.

The Business was secured on Saturday, May 5th 2018 and upon opening, employees met their place of work ransacked. The culprit(s) who used a ladder to gain entry, stole US$300.00 and cheques.
