#TurksandCaicos, May 30, 2018 – Providenciales – A woman of great accomplishment both in her home country, the Caribbean region and the world landed on Thursday in the Turks and Caicos with a mandate to motivate members and friends of the Anglican church in evangelism…

“Knowing what it is to help to groom people in order to grow, and to live and to help to build and not destroy.”

Dr. Cynthia Pratt, better known, as Mother Pratt in her native Bahamas has accomplished much including being the first Bahamian woman to hold the second highest elected office, she served as DPM.  Last year, Dr. Pratt become an author, her book An Ordinary Woman from the Heart of the Inner City was picked up by American movie producer Vernon Lynch, brother of actor Eddie Murphy who is planning to create a film about her intriguing life.

When asked if she was excited about the upcoming movie, Mother Pratt said, “Absolutely, yes, I’m looking forward to it and hoping that it would be an incentive for not just The Bahamas, but the entire Caribbean.”

She was asked if there was anyone in particular that she would like to see portray her in the film, she responded, “well you know it don’t really matter, as long as the story gets out and it encourages, inspires and motivates people, that’s what’s important.”

“When you can explain where God has brought you from, that’s the hope you would leave for them, because if they can see that if God can take her out of the gutter to this level, that same God, is the God that can raise them up as well.”

We caught #MotherPratt at the airport where she was greeted by her hosts – the Anglican Church Women or ACW – and happy to share on what she plans to deposit at a string of events which includes the Sunday Spring Affair, a visit on Tuesday to Her Majesty’s Prison in Grand Turk and a Wednesday reception labeled Women of the Community.

From speaking at leadership conferences hosted by American billionaire Bill Gates, to pioneering progresses for women in sports in The Bahamas, to continuing to work to build the body of Christ.  Mother Pratt has a special touch that has afforded her the notoriety of being one of the most famous Bahamians in history.
