Young man and woman arrested for illegal gun in Provo
#Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – April 5, 2018 – Two young adults will be charged with possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition after a search of their Millennium Highway home turned up a gun and rounds of ammunition.
Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is reporting the matter resulting in an arrest on Wednesday of the 21-year-old woman and 25-year-old man. The Police Tactical Unit worked the scene and also found, “one spent shell, inside of a vehicle that was parked at the said home.”
Police say they were tipped off about the gun and ammo. 
“A male and female were arrested on Wednesday, April 04, 2018 for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition in Providenciales, following an intelligence-driven operation by the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Tactical Unit.”
Conviction of illegal gun possession, by law in the TCI carries a minimum of five years.
