ARRESTS AND CHARGES 

54-year-old a man was arrested and charged with the offence of Abstracting Electricity. The man was given USD$5000, to appear in the Magistrate Court on May 7th,2018.

 

A 42-year old was arrested for the offence of Obtaining Property by Deception. The man is currently in Police custody.

 

A 23-year-old woman was recently arrested for the offence of threatening to kill by letter. The woman was given bail in the amount of USD$3500.

 

BURGLARIES

Police on Providenciales is investigating the Burglary of the Shining Stars Preparatory Tuck Shop, which was reported to Police on Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 at 12:40 a.m. The bandits while trying to escape, dropped the electronic items and snacks.

 

Providenciales Police are also investigating a Burglary of a Down Town Variety Store, reported at 7:30 a.m., on Wednesday, April 25th, 2018. According to the complainant, upon arrival, he met the store ransacked with items on the floor. Missing were a small amount of cash and one black DVR Lorex player.

 

UNDOCUMENTED PERSONS DETAINED AFTER EARLY MORNING JITNEY CHECKS

On Friday, April 27th, 2018 between 5:00 and 7:00 a.m., 17 undocumented persons were taken to the Detention Centre, following suspected jitney vehicle traffic stops. The 15 Haitian Males and 2 Dominican Males were detained along Grace Bay Road and the Leeward highway.

 

DRIVERS TICKETED BY POLICE TRAFFIC DIVISION 

Officers from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Traffic Division recently issued a total of 54 tickets throughout Providenciales. The 54 drivers were ticketed on April 21st, 2018 for various traffic violations.
