Arrests and Charges

On Thursday, March 8th, 2018, a 30-year-old-man was arrested and charged with Perverting the Course of Justice, Attempted Bribery and Violent Language at the Her Majesty’s prison.  The man remains in custody at Her Majesty’s Prison.

 Robbery 

Police in Providenciales is investigating a robbery that was reported to the Chalk Sound Police Station on Thursday, March 8th, 2018. The woman was walking in the area of Kew Town when she was robbed at gunpoint between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. The culprit got away with a brown side bag containing a Venezuelan passport, immigration documents, a brown Samsung Galaxy cellular phone, valued USD$700 and USD$25.00 cash.

 Burglary

Providenciales Police are also investigating a Burglary at a Gas Station located on the Leeward Highway.  The incident took place on Friday, March 9th, 2018, between 12:00 and 3:00 a.m. The culprit (s) gained entry through a window, cutting the burglar bars. Missing items are currently unknown at this time.

 Haitian Sloop 

Friday, March 9th, 2018, Police and Immigration Officials investigating the landing of an Illegal Haitian Sloop, following a report made to the 911 Centre at 12:43 a.m., that a number of illegal immigrants were seen in the vicinity of Caicos Oil Gas Station.  It is reported that the illegal sloop landed near the South Dock. A total of 13 illegals were apprehended by the Police and Immigration Officials so far, with an unknown number currently being questioned and processed.
