TCI: Illegal wooden boat found right under the noses of radar and security guards
Border Control Minister Sean Astwood confirmed the illegal landing which happen just miles away from the coastal radar and at the site of a secured dock.
This is what one witness had to say via a voice note, “This is ridiculous man, this boat came in last night, security on duty, right at the port, right at the port of entry…….. this boat is fresh, came right in, right at the radar station.”
“…..it’s a wide boat, with 60 horse power on, and with good weather, had no problem coming in man, take a good look at it, it’s very wide, approximately 150 to 100 people.”
Residents commenting on the discovery this morning say they are appalled, shocked and embarrassed.
