#TurksandCaicos, March 22, 2018 – Providenciales – Scotiabank is a proud sponsor of the ‘Anne Frank: Beyond The Diary’ two part event scheduled for March 13th and 14th. In line with the bank’s commitment to making the communities we work and live in better off, this event is an impactful reminder of the resilience and strength of the human spirit.
Youth initiatives remain a pillar in Scotiabank’s philanthropic focus and the student event on March 13th ties directly in to this. Students from around the country have been invited to hear the incredible account of courage from Eva Schloss, the step sister of Anne Frank.
“This event has an important core message of resilience and learning to rise in the face of adversity, particularly for our young people.” Stated Curtis Knight, Commercial Banking Manager, Scotiabank Turks & Caicos Ltd.
“But the secondary message that promotes literacy and self-reflection is also very unique and relevant. It’s essential to stay grounded and to track your own progressions especially in a digital age where you have so many external influences.”
Scotiabank continues to support various initiatives across Turks and Caicos that focus on developing the community in meaningful ways. The goal of all such activities is to ensure the youth, our future leaders, have the skills and resources to be successful.
