#TurksandCaicos, March 16, 2018 – Providenciales – Flow TCI, a Cable & Wireless company, has officially re-signed 24-year old track sensation Delano Williams – the first Olympic athlete from the Turks and Caicos Islands as a pan-regional Brand ambassador.

Holder of the 2012 World Juniors 200M Championship title, three-time Carifta Medallist, IAAF World Champion Bronze Medallist, 4x400M Rio 2016 Olympics contender, and son of the TCI, the decorated athlete has inked another two year endorsement deal applicable across C&W’s fifteen Caribbean markets, the Bahamas, and Panama.

“I am honoured to sign with the #1 telecommunications provider in the Turks and Caicos, Flow, for a second term as a pan regional brand ambassador.  Being a part of the Flow family since the inception of my career has proven to be and remains one of the best decisions I’ve made to date.  I will always be a Flow-guy,” shared Delano.

Originally signed in October 2015, Delano has since joined a new two-year NIKE approved coaching program in Kingston, Jamaica called the Maximizing Velocity and Power (MVP) Track & Field Club, home to world class Jamaican sprinters such as Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce, Elaine Thompson and Asafa Powell, to focus on his initial passion for sprint as his signature events.

“I wanted to put myself back into the sprinting world, because I don’t believe the 400m is for me.  I believe wholeheartedly that my new coach, Paul Francis, who has coached world class Olympic medallist and world record holders, will get me where I need to go,” explained Williams.

It’s been four years now since Williams has run a 100M race, and in February, he opened his season with a time of 10.46 seconds, just a few split seconds shy of his 100M PB of 10.28 recorded in 2013.  He has declined the request to run the 4x400m relay at the 2018 Commonwealth Games to remain focused on his individual sprint training.

“Delano Williams has quickly become a household name in the Turks and Caicos.  It has been quite an honour to work alongside he and his manager to capture the moments in his career that will be engrained in the history books of this country and this brand as he grows into an outstanding athlete” says, Darron Hilaire, Marketing Communications Executive.

We can expect to see Delano again at the British Olympic Trials, and the Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships in August.

“As a part of our commitment to being the number sponsor of youth and sports in the region, we are grateful as a company for the opportunity to be a part of Delano’s growing global sprinting career, as he continues to break barriers and inspire greatness,” expressed Flow Country Manager, Delleriece Hall.
