#TurksandCaicos, March 30, 2018 – Salt Cay – The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Planning in collaboration with the Water Undertaking Unit within the Department of Public Works, would like to advise the General Public in particular residents of Salt Cay, that the Reverse Osmosis Plant, RO, is back online and producing water.

A team from the Water Undertaking Unit and a technician visited Salt Cay on March 28, 2018, where after a complete assessment, brought the unit back online.  This unit, which has been down for some time, is capable of producing a total of 14,500 gallons of water per day, which can adequately service the residents of Salt Cay as well as build storage.

Early last week, a team comprising a senior member from the Ministry of Infrastructure and members of the Public Works Department Maintenance, Water and Project Management Division, visited Salt Cay to conduct a damage assessment of the water storage facilities in particular and other areas, with the view to begin repair works.

We do appreciate your patience and understanding as we seek to rectify these matters.
