Press Statement from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture
#Bahamas, March 4, 2018 – Nassau – The Department of Culture of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture re-iterated today that the Government has no intention to invest finances in the Carnival road fever march.
The road fever march is a private event financed by Bahamian entrepreneurs. Our role will only be regulatory.
The standard of behavior and dress code of participants are expected to follow accepted public standards, and the route selected by organizers will carefully be considered before any permit is granted.
Also, the Government’s role relative to security and environmental cleanup will be consistent with events of a similar nature.
