Grand Turk MP in two car crash, injured but okay

#TurksandCaicos, March 31, 2018 – Grand Turk – The former Minister for Home Affairs is talking and appears to be okay following a car crash this morning just before 9 a.m. on Osbourne Road in North Backsalina. It is unclear what caused the traffic accident, where images shared with Magnetic Media show both vehicles were headed north when they collided, somehow.

Hon George Lightbourne, the Member of Parliament for Grand Turk North was taken from the scene reportedly with head injuries on a gurney by the EMS team.

It was a scary-looking scene on this Holy Saturday, but bystanders replied this way when we asked if the Parliamentarian was ok: “Yes talking and everything but apparently hit his head, but don’t appear to be serious…”

The other driver, a Jamaican man was unhurt in the accident which happened near “Joe Swann’s residence”.
