#TurksandCaicos, March 8, 2018 – North Caicos -This past Saturday, 3rd March, H.E. the Governor, Dr. John Freeman, and Mrs. Freeman were treated to an astonishing display of TCI arts and culture at the Brayton Hall in Providenciales.

‘SHOW THE LOVE’, a fundraiser that was the brainchild of several students from the Raymond Gardiner High School in North Caicos.  The event was well supported, and featured lots of singing and dancing by current and former students of the Raymond Gardiner High school and other local performers.  There were also featured displays of art and woodwork by students as part of an auction for funds.  The students were pleased to have the Governor and his wife in attendance.  The evening was in support of repairs to the Horse Stable Beach Community Centre.

Commenting on the evening, HE the Governor Dr John Freeman said: “I was delighted to attend and support this event, an impressive local initiative, not least by the students of Raymond Gardiner School. The school band is among the best in the Islands.  And all was in a good cause, namely in support of the Horse Stable Beach Community Centre, which I have visited since coming to TCI, and the Raymond Gardiner students. Well done to all involved!”

District Commissioner for North Caicos, Ms. Cynclair Musgrove, remarked that: “It was great to have H.E. the Governor and his wife in attendance.  The students so impressed everyone that a few persons who were given complimentary tickets actually paid for them afterwards!”

The fundraiser was sponsored by numerous private sector partners.
