#UnitedStates, March 9, 2018 – Washington, DC – The Bahamas Trade Mission to Washington, D.C. in day two, March 6,  addressed the DC Chamber of Commerce including a number of DC companies — technology and tourism organizations, and a logistic company specializing in free trade zones, among others.

Presentations were made by the Ministry of Tourism, a Grand Bahama real estate firm, the Grand Bahama Port Authority, and the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce.
Leader of the delegation, Minister of State for Grand Bahama Kwasi Thompson addressed the gathering on the government’s investment push and benefits of investing in The Bahamas — in particular, Grand Bahama.   The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the DC Chamber.

The delegation visited the Inter-American Development Bank, and were briefed on programs available for small business funding that Bahamians can access: this presentation will be delivered locally, in The Bahamas, for the benefit of Bahamian businesses.   The day ended with a reception for the Bahamian diaspora.

Photos show Senator Kwasi Thompson addressing the DC Chamber of Commerce, members of the delegation, and other Bahamians in Washington, D.C.
