TCI: RTCIPF Crime Update

Robberies

Police on Providenciales are investigating a Robbery that took place on Monday, February 19th, 2018, at The Quality Store located in Blue Hills at 12:18 p.m.  The employee described the gunman as short, dark-skinned with dreadlocks, and wearing a dark blue shirt when he entered the supermarket and demanded money.  The culprit fled the scene by foot, taking a large sum of cash.

Police are also investigating an attempted Robbery that took place on Saturday, February 17th, 2018, at 12:54 a.m., following a 911 call by a male who reported that he was held at gunpoint by a short dark-skinned male, who tried to rob him.  The masked gunman was dressed in all black.  The culprit discharged a single round in the air and fled the scene.  This incident occurred in the Cooper Jack area.

 

Burglaries

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in the Thompson Cove area, around 3:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17th, 2018.  The complainant reported to Police that he was awakened by a tall dark- skinned man who fled the scene.

A Burglary took place on the Island of North Caicos on Sunday, February 18th, 2018.  The complainant reported to Police that his business place was broken into. This incident is still under investigation.

Providenciales Police are investigating a Burglary that occurred on Sunday, February 18th, 2018, at the Miracle Revival Mission church on Lower Bight Road. Reported stolen was black Roland Jandi Keyboard valued USD$1000.

Vehicular Accidents 

The Traffic Enforcement Unit of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is investigating a two-car motor vehicle accident that occurred on the Millennium Highway on Friday, February 16th, 2018.  Both vehicles received extensive damages.  EMS Officials were on the scene and transferred those involved to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre for medical attention.

The Traffic Enforcement Unit is also investigating a vehicle accident that took place on Saturday 17th, 2018 at 8:00 a.m., where a female was hit by a vehicle in Grace Bay, across from the IGA Gourmet.  The victim was transferred to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre for medical treatment.
